If you forgot who Wu Bai is, he’s the younger cousin of Han Shang Yan. But they are practically brothers.
The expected air time of Go Go Squid season 2 is sometime during 2021. Which is so far awayyyyy.
But good things come to those who wait. In the meantime, this post will serve as a placeholder for the good things to come.
**Update Nov 2020, more rumors are flying around that this “second” season should be considered more of a spinoff than an actual second season.
Because of the timeline differences between the original novel for Wu Bai’s romance and where Go Go Squid season 1 ended…
I still want to see Han Shang Yan and Tong Nian’s wedding scene, so I’ll watch it nonetheless!

Okay, it’s more of a spinoff than a second season. I was really bummed that they changed the cast and made the timelines weird.
BUT, it’s more fluffy romantic goodness. Will you still watch the show?

I vvatched if for no other reason than to 1) see the vveddings of Han Shangyan and Tong Nian, and DT and Appledog; and 2) just to see the romance of DT and Appledog. TOTALLY disappointed that the storyline vvas changed 1) from Esports to robot competition…as Esports is so much more exotic and exciting; and 2) the timeline is all changed and messed up. These 2 things are a real DISAPPOINTMENT.
Aww sorry to hear that Tess! Let’s hope there will be a REAL sequel in the future for this series
I had a much easier time with The GoGo Squid Spinoff when I thought of it as a “Parallel Universe.”
i don’t really like season 2 of Go Go Squid . Hopefully there’s season 3 where the original cast is back .
Would you say that season 1 is essential for watching the second season?
(I really wanted to watch this but I was unaware that it was a season 2, which is why I’m unsure if the first season is necessary to watch this one)

Hi Rosie, Watching the original Go Go Squid is not necessary before watching the spinoff Go Go Squid 2 DT: Appledog’s Time. A lot of the main characters were changed. I miss the original male actors. However, choosing Li Yi Tong to replace the original Appledog was a very good decision. In my opinion she is more beautiful and loving. As an actress she plays Appledog to perfection.
